SULTAN OF PAHANG CONFERRED HONORARY DOCTORATE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING.pdf
Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) will confer an honorary doctorate on the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, at the university’s commemorative convocation on Saturday.
The honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering will be conferred by UMP chancellor, the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
UMP vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim said the conferment was in recognition of the sultan’s contribution to the development of Pahang and the nation.
“He really takes interest in making sure that development projects are beneficial to the people,” he said in a statement.
Among those expected at the convocation are the Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Kalsom; Tengku Puan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.
