The first ever erman Day  MP programme saw overwhelming response when more than 2, students thronged the venue of the event at the Academic Bloc W on uly 1, 21 recently. According to MP ice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Daing Ibrahim, the erman Day, organised in collaboration with the Federal Republic of ermany Embassy in uala Lumpur, endeavoured not only to strengthen the niversity’s international networing, but more importantly, to lend exposure to the students of the many erman companies and organisations operating in Malaysia. Students will have the opportunity to explore research activities, postgraduate studies as well as industrial trainings available in ermany, said Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir. Students who are interested in pursuing employment abroad will also get the chance to procure detailed information during this oneday programme added the ice-Chancellor. Meanwhile, ermany Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr unter ruber said, apart from getting to now the country through tourism, this programme will raise awareness among students of the erman culture and language directly through the participating companies. Among them are -Cells, Eletrisola, BASFPetronas, Mercedes, Siemens, SL Carbon and DAAD erman Academic Exchange Service. Apart from the tal session and exhibition, other activities during the one-day programme were movie screening by oethe Institut uala Lumpur and Lucy Draw with prizes sponsored by the embassy and participating companies.
